A suspect faces pending charges in Sacramento regarding an alleged arson incident on Wednesday afternoon. Officials plan to take the individual into custody once medical treatment concludes. The call drew emergency crews to the scene.

The Sacramento Fire Department arrived around 1:09 p.m. at 3625 Northgate Blvd. Units located a burning trailer “up against” a building in a Natomas shopping center.

Fire officials said the cause was “suspicious.” Crews stopped flames from spreading into nearby businesses.

One adjacent store had minor smoke damage. Medics transported the suspect to a hospital with severe injuries.

Fire officials believe the person was electrocuted during the event. An investigator examines commercial zones to protect local properties.

The individual will face arrest in Sacramento once doctors complete care.
