Emergency crews rushed two injured people to a hospital after a vehicle hit a Rocklin veterinary clinic Monday. The collision damaged the building and left at least two people inside hurt.

The Rocklin Police Department responded just after noon to the single-vehicle collision. The crash occurred near the corner of Pacific Street and Rocklin Road. Officers believe the event was accidental, a department spokesperson said.

A motorist collided directly with the storefront of Animal Dermatology Clinic. The impact injured at least two individuals who were inside the business. Both patients suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the spokesperson.

Ambulances transported both injured people to a local medical facility. The driver was the only occupant inside the vehicle. Authorities did not share the medical status of the driver.

Investigators are still working to determine the exact cause of the collision. Officers closed local roadways while they canvassed the scene. Those streets reopened Monday afternoon.

Municipal police departments typically secure collision sites to inspect structural damage and gather physical evidence. Officers document road markings and interview witnesses to determine how an incident occurred.

The Rocklin location of the Animal Dermatology Clinic remains closed until further notice, according to the company website.
